About

Koper Secondary Technical School (STŠ Koper) has been the largest school on the Coast for several years, with more than 800 students studying in eleven educational programmes.
The programmes offered by the school are diverse, ranging from lower vocational education, secondary vocational education, secondary professional education, vocational-technical to secondary general education. The projects that take place at STŠ Koper rank the school among the most innovative educational institutions in Slovenia, which is reflected in numerous invitations to participate in various professional fairs in Slovenia (MOS Celje) and abroad (Germany, Italy), where students and their mentors proudly exhibit their creations and establish contacts with future business partners.
We perceive the combination of distance education and work in classrooms (laboratories, classrooms for practical lessons) as one more in a series of challenges that we have successfully introduced and will bring as close to perfection as possible. Many of the most prominent drivers of the development of the Coastal-Karst region are our former students, and they all have in common the fact that they fondly remember their high school days. The school is new, modern, with well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, specialized classrooms and workshops for practical lessons, which provide students with excellent conditions for learning and teachers for teaching. It has its own cafeteria with a distributional kitchen and terrace, a large gym and a library. STŠ Koper is a school that, in addition to professional content, offers its students many extracurricular activities, clubs, trips and professional excursions (in Slovenia and abroad), and is famous for its cooperation with commercial companies and educational institutions in the immediate region and beyond, as well as beyond the national borders. Furthermore, it participates in many international projects which enable students to complete a part of their internship abroad. The school places great emphasis on sports (more than 100 students who attend the school have the status of prospective athletes with an individual educational plan), student athletes are encouraged and helped to coordinate their school and sports obligations, and we also have a school team of students and teachers who, traditionally, together represent the STŠ at the Istrian Marathon.
Particular care is dedicated to students with special needs who are offered a full support on their way to the desired education. STŠ is a school that is aware of the great importance of good mutual relations. Students and teachers create positive experiences together, our cooperation is based on mutual respect, cordiality, tolerance, openness and honesty. Employees, students, parents and business partners work together to ensure that what is written is not just a letter on paper, but the life we live together.
